Employees Complain About Wrong Deductions in PIFRA Salary Slips
Many government employees have reported wrong deductions in their June 2025 salary slips. These errors appeared in the slips sent through the PIFRA system. The affected employees have raised concerns and demanded a quick solution.
Salary Slip Errors Create Confusion
Employees from different departments say they found extra deductions in their salary slips. Some noticed missing allowances. Others found deductions that were not explained. These issues have caused confusion and stress among the staff.
Some employees said their medical or travel allowances were not added. Others said that income tax or loan amounts were higher than expected. Many workers worry that such mistakes will repeat if not corrected now.
Affected Employees Seek Help
The employees have contacted their DDOs (Drawing and Disbursing Officers) to report the mistakes. Some also sent emails to the PIFRA helpline. However, they have not received a clear response yet. Delays in solving these issues are causing frustration.
A school teacher from Lahore said, “I checked my salary slip and found Rs. 5,000 missing without any reason. I sent an email to PIFRA support but got no reply.”
Another employee from the health department said that such mistakes are becoming common. “We need a system that checks slips before sending them to us,” he added.
Possible Reasons for the Errors
Experts believe these errors may be due to incorrect data entry at the department level. Some say that the PIFRA system processed outdated records. Others suggest that recent updates in allowances or deductions may not have been applied properly.
In some cases, employees who changed departments or took leave without pay also faced unexpected deductions. The system may not have updated their status correctly.
Finance Department Promises Action
A spokesperson from the Ministry of Finance said that they are aware of the issue. They have asked PIFRA to check the complaints and fix the wrong deductions quickly. The spokesperson also advised employees to contact their DDOs for correction.
He said, “We are working with PIFRA to review all salary slips with reported errors. We want to solve these problems without delay.”
Employees Urged to Check Slips Regularly
Officials have advised all government employees to check their salary slips every month. They should compare the slip with their expected salary and report any errors as soon as possible. Regular checking can help catch and fix mistakes early.
To get salary slips through PIFRA, employees must register on the official website and use a valid email address. They should also inform their department if they change emails to avoid missing slips.
